Heaven does listen
Heaven does hear
Minute after minute
Day after day
Year after year
Heaven does hear
In the midst of the loneliness
In the midst of the pain
Heaven’s ear hears
The unspoken strain
The primal cry
The stoic weep
Heaven listens—
Heaven hears.

This poem read in tandem with the post Silence, Broken makes more sense. Sometimes we need to 'tell ourselves the truth' or 'preach the Gospel to ourselves' as reminders of the true nature of God even when we can't hear Him and He seems absent from our prayers.
